Fiavé is a comune in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 25 kilometres southwest of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,053 and an area of 24.3 square kilometres .The municipality of Fiavè contains the frazioni Ballino, Favrio and Stumiaga. Fiavè borders the following municipalities: Comano Terme, Bleggio Superiore, Ledro and Tenno.

Lago di Ledro is a lake in Trentino, northern Italy. The lake is at an elevation of 655 metres , and its surface area is 2.187 km2 . Lake Ledro is reputed to be one of the cleanest lakes in Trentino and during the summer it reaches a temperature of 24 °C , attracting tourist with ita four beaches.

7. Lago di Tenno Tenno
Lago di Tenno is a lake at Tenno in Trentino, Italy. At an elevation of 550 m, its surface area is 2.5 km². The lake was formed around the year 1100 following a large landslide that blocked the course of the river Rì Sec, which is currently the main tributary of the lake. In the southern portion of the lake there is a small island. The level of the lake varies over the years depending on the flow rate of the tributaries. In the years when the level is low this island becomes a kind of promontory. This area is protected by the Autonomous Province of Trento as a biotope.

Longobards in Italy, Places of Power - UNESCO World Heritage Site

This is an unusual UNESCO World Heritage site. The Longobards (or Lombards) were a Germanic tribe that ruled over much of Italy between the 6th and the 9th centuries. Not much remains of their time in power, aside from some scattered buildings, churches and temples. Come with me, as I explore several of these in northern and central Italy!
