Franklin is a city in, and the county seat of, Williamson County, Tennessee, United States. Located about 21 miles south of Nashville, it is one of the principal cities of the Nashville metropolitan area and Middle Tennessee. Williamson County was primarily rural into the late 20th century, with an economy based on traditional commodity crops and livestock. In the nineteenth century, part of its economy depended on slavery, and after the American Civil War racial violence, designed to suppress the black vote, claimed lives.     Six Flags Great Adventure is an amusement park located in Jackson, New Jersey, owned by Six Flags Entertainment Corp. Situated between New York City and Philadelphia, the park complex also contains the Hurricane Harbor water park. The park opened in 1974 under restaurateur Warner LeRoy. Six Flags took over ownership of the park in 1977. Today, the park contains eleven themed areas. In August 30, 2012, Six Flags combined its 160-acre Great Adventure Park with its 350-acre Wild Safari animal park to form the 510-acre Six Flags Great Adventure & Safari park, making it the second-largest theme park in the world, after Disney's Animal Kingdom.

    Santa's Village is a Christmas-themed amusement park located in Jefferson, New Hampshire, United States. Most of the 23 rides have Christmas or winter-themed names, such as Rudy's Rapid Transit Coaster and The Great Humbug Adventure. The rides are designed for families with children under age 13. There are also three theatres, two of which present live shows and a third that features a 3-D movie called A Tinkerdoodle Christmas. Visitors can visit Santa's home, sit in his rocking chair, and have a picture taken with Santa.
