Colorado National Monument is an area of spectacular canyons covering desert land on the Colorado Plateau, near Grand Junction and Fruita, Colorado.
Between the many amazing rock formations in the park, presented in the video, are Windows Rock (0:10), Independence Monument (0:31, 0:46), Devils Kitchen (1:44), Coke Ovens (2:57), Kissing Couple, Praying Hands and Pipe Organ (3:05), Balanced Rock (4:24).

On the western edge of the state of Colorado and close to the city of Grand Junction and the village of Fruita, is the Colorado National Monument, one of the most fascinating areas in the United States Of America.From the twenty three mile long Rim Rock Drive there is a magnificent view across the eroded rock walls of the mighty canyons. Fir, juniper and mahogany trees form the main vegetation on the high plateaus that are located above the sparsely covered canyons. The amazing rock walls plunge down almost three hundred metres to the bottom of the dried out canyons below that are dominated by typical desert vegetation. There is a kind of magic here, a special feeling: and it is easy to become enchanted by this truly amazing region that has been sculpted by the natural forces of nature.

Wonderland RV Park - Gifford House Pies - Capitol Reef - 30 Day Family RV Road Trip VLOG Day 17 Pt 1
Waking up in a great stop in Torrey Utah - Wonderland RV Park - and enjoying the lush green grass - something that I've missed from back home since we started our trip through the desert! We definitely could have stayed longer here.
Stopped in at the Gifford House for a sampling of their pies after finding a place to park our motorhome and run around in the toad car.
Finished up Jr Ranger badges at the Ripple Rock Nature Center, learned that we should have stopped here for fruit orchard maps yesterday, and enjoyed the drive out of Capitol Reef as we head out to Goblin Valley State Park next!

Off we go on our longest trip yet! Last year we took our new to us motorhome on a 2 week trip which set the stage for this 4 week family RV journey from the east coast towards New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Colorado with a few points on the way out and back.

Choosing the top 10 mountain bike destinations in North America was no easy feat. To start with, we decided that this was to be a list of true destinations: not residential areas with good mountain bike trail access, but rather destinations that you could plan your entire year's worth of vacation time around.
When we sat down to make these careful choices, we called on the expertise of the entire Singletracks blog team. Narrowing the list down to just 10 places was a very difficult, controversial process. There was quite a bit of disagreement, even internally, about which towns should make the list, and which ones weren't deserving.
