Fyti village near Paphos in Cyprus - A road trip from Paphos
Fyti village is about 25kms away from Paphos in Cyprus, and worth a visit if you want to see the old Cypriot tradition of weaving. It's one of the most important villages on the island when it comes to weaving, and the weaves which are made in the village are known as Fithkiotika.
They have a variety of patterns and rich colours. In the small museum you can see thousands of examples of traditionally woven products, along with the looms that make them.

CYPRUS: Lempa village [HD]
Lempa (or Lemba) is a village located on top of an escarpment overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and is set in one of the most fertile parts of Cyprus. The area produces citrus, olives, tomatoes and market-garden vegetables, and is one of the few parts of Europe where commercial banana production is possible.
In 1981, Lempa became home to the Cyprus College of Art. It is home to numerous artists, many of whom have open studio shops, the sculpture known as the Great Wall of Lempa by the Cypriot artist Stass Paraskos and the Cyprus College of Art.
The village is one of the most ancient in Cyprus, and since 1976 has been the site of ongoing archaeological excavations by the School of Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh. In 1982, the Lemba Experimental Village was established as an archaeological project to recreate a Chalcolithic village.
Lempa appears to have been occupied for most of the human history of Cyprus, and much later archaeological remains, including pottery fragments and coins from the Mediaeval period have been found there.
The village located approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) north of the town of Paphos.

Laneia village - Cyprus
Lania (officially spelled Laneia) is a village at the foot of Mount Troodos on the main Limassol to Troodos road, about 26 km from Limassol in the country of Cyprus. Lania is one of the country's main wine producing villages.
According to tradition, Lania got its name from Lana, daughter of the Greek god of wine and pleasure, Dionysos.
