2nd Annual Summer Trip! Back to South Dakota! Started in the Badlands, then onto Spearfish Canyon (with some waterfalls in between), Keystone, Custer State Park, Needles Highway, The Wildlife Loop (in Custer), of course Mt. Rushmore, and where we stayed at the Palmer Gulch (just outside of Keystone)!

South Dakota Run: May 08'
Kevin S., Kevin R., Jim and I embarked on a run from Iowa to South Dakota in Mid May 2008. Traveling across SD was tough with winds exceeding 60 mph. It was hard riding. But, we were excited to be out on the open highway with the WIND in our faces ; - )
The ride west from Pierre into Sturgis was very enjoyable and scenic (ie. HWY 34/14). South Dakota was as beautiful as always (see video). Additionally, for those of you who don't know the Black Hills is a motorcycle theme park with outstanding rides around every bend.
I personally enjoy watching the local wildlife. But, a few times Kevin and I accidentally got a little too close. Let me tell you, expect a bison herd around every blind bend within Custer Park.
