Goldendale is a rural agricultural city and county seat of Klickitat County, Washington, United States, near the Columbia River Gorge. The population within city limits was 3,760 at the 2000 census and 3,407, a 9.4% decrease at the 2010 census. A nationally known point of interest is north of town, Goldendale Observatory State Park. The valley area in which Goldendale is located offers a sweeping and dramatic views of the Cascade Range Mountains 40 mile to the west and the Simcoe Hills to the north.

1. Multnomah Falls Bridal Veil
Multnomah Falls is a waterfall located in the Columbia River Gorge, east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, Oregon, United States. The waterfall is accessible from the Historic Columbia River Highway and Interstate 84. Spanning two tiers on basalt cliffs, it is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon at 620 ft in height.The land surrounding the falls was developed by Simon Benson in the early-twentieth century, with a pathway, viewing bridge, and adjacent lodge being constructed in 1925. The Multnomah Falls Lodge and the surrounding footpaths at the falls were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. Contemporarily, the state of Oregon maintains a switchback trail that ascends to a talus slope 100 feet above the falls, and descends to an observation deck that ...

WILD HORSE (K'usee) - Yakima Nation - YouTube

Free-roaming horses have been a part of the landscape in Idaho and central and eastern Oregon and Washington since the Spanish brought the species to what is now the United States.
The eagle is an amazing bird, but for me the symbol that best epitomizes the spirit of America is the wild horse and the buffalo. Both great creatures that at one time roamed free throughout much of the land. Today there are only pockets of them found mostly in the Western States, but when you see them, it is still an amazing sight to behold.
We've seen buffalo in Yellowstone National Park and South Dakota and now we saw wild horses on the Yakima Nation land in Washington State.

Wild Horses of the Yakama Homeland have been around for generations and as long as our people can remember. The oral history kept by our people tells of the cultural and traditonal value this prized animal has among the Yakama People. Revered for its endurance and strength, the horse has become a symbol of the true Yakama Spirit and strength that survived the most difficult times over the last 200 years. Today, the horse remains at the same status and is often a prized possession with most tribal members who remember the days when horse chasing and catching was an art itself.

At the present time (2010) there are believed to be over 12,000 wild horses on the reservation.
