Green Brook Township is a township in Somerset County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 7,203, reflecting an increase of 1,549 from the 5,654 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 1,194 from the 4,460 counted in the 1990 Census.What is now Green Brook was originally created as North Plainfield Township on April 2, 1872, from portions of Warren Township. Portions of the township were taken to form North Plainfield borough and Watchung .   • 1. Washington Rock State Park Green Brook
    Washington Rock State Park is a 52-acre scenic state park on top of the first Watchung Mountain in Green Brook, New Jersey. The park is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. It is famous for its scenic overlook used by General George Washington in 1777 to monitor Continental Army troops led by British General William Howe at the Middlebrook encampment. The 30-mile panoramic vista covers the eastern plains of New Jersey up to New York City. The land was bought in 1913 to establish the park and commemorate the events of 1777. Most of it is woodland but at the outlook there are walking trails and a picnic area.

    Grounds For Sculpture is a 42-acre sculpture park and museum located in Hamilton, NJ, United States, on the former site of the New Jersey State Fairgrounds. Founded in 1992 by John Seward Johnson II, the venue is dedicated to promoting an understanding of and appreciation for contemporary sculpture by organizing exhibitions, publishing catalogues, and offering a variety of educational programs and special community events. In July 2000, GFS became a nonprofit organization open to the public. Operation revenues come from visitors, art patrons, donations, and grants. GFS maintains an ever changing collection of sculptures, with works by Seward Johnson and other artists.
