Gwacheon is a city in Gyeonggi-do Province, South Korea. It lies close to Seoul in the heart of the Seoul National Capital Area, and also lies just east of Anyang. Seoul Subway Line 4 passes through the city. Various attractions usually associated with Seoul, including Seoul Grand Park, National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul Land, Gwacheon National Science Museum, and Seoul Race Park are actually located in Gwacheon or its immediate jurisdiction. It is also home to a major administrative center of the Korean government.

    Seoul Grand Park is a park complex to the south of Seoul, South Korea, in the city of Gwacheon . Facilities at Seoul Grand Park include hills and hiking trails, Seoul Grand Park Zoo, Children's Zoo, a rose garden, Seoul Land amusement park, and the Seoul Museum of Modern Art. The attractions all have separate admission fees. Line 4 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway stops at Seoul Grand Park Station.     Gwangmyeong Cave is a tourist attraction in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It is located on the far southwestern outskirts of Seoul. The cave was used when Korea was under Japanese rule from 1910 to 1945 for mining purposes and was staffed by forced laborers. The cave complex re-opened in 2011 for tourism purposes and now has historical exhibits, but is chiefly entertainment-focused, with aquariums, sculptures, light shows, children's amusements, and other attractions, including an underground winery.The cave complex is popular, especially for its cooler underground temperatures in summer, but is in a slightly isolated mountainous location. It can be easily reached by car, but the nearest Seoul Metro link is the Gwangmyeong KTX Station, about 2 km away.
