Hart's Location is a town in Carroll County, New Hampshire, United States. Since 1948, the town has been one of the first places to declare its results for the New Hampshire Presidential primary and U.S. Presidential elections.The population was 41 as of the 2010 census. It was incorporated in 1795. Hart's Location receives services from the nearby town of Bartlett, but otherwise has its own government, selectmen and post office. Home to Crawford Notch State Park, which is noted for a rugged wilderness beauty, the town is crossed by the Appalachian Trail.

Franconia Notch State Park is located in the White Mountains in northern New Hampshire, United States, and straddles 8 miles of Interstate 93 as it passes through Franconia Notch, a mountain pass between the Kinsman Range and Franconia Range. Attractions in the state park include the Flume Gorge and visitor center, the Old Man of the Mountain historical site, fishing in Echo Lake and Profile Lake, and miles of hiking, biking and ski trails. The northern part of the park, including Cannon Mountain and Echo and Profile lakes, is in the town of Franconia, and the southern part, including Lonesome Lake and the Flume, is in Lincoln. In part II of the tour I took with New England Excursions to the Fall Foliage trip to White Mountains Forest of New Hampshire, you can see the winding roads and multicolored hues of the trees of New England. We also ventured on the way to babbling brooks and fast-moving waterfalls throughout the Granite State. There were many streams along the route that flow from the Saco River. We also stopped for lunch in North Conway, NH, a quaint town that is welcoming to visitors. Eventually, we made our way to the Omni White Mountain Resort before returning to Boston.
