Hico is a small city located in Hamilton and Erath counties in central Texas, United States. The town motto is Where Everybody Is Somebody! Named for its founder's unincorporated hometown in Calloway County in southwestern Kentucky near Murray, just north of the Tennessee state boundary, Hico's original location was on Honey Creek. When the Texas Central line was built nearby, the citizens moved 2.5 miles to the rail line. Hico was incorporated in 1883 and became the Hamilton County shipping center. 1. Inks Lake State Park Burnet
Inks Lake State Park is a state park located in Burnet County, Texas, United States, next to Inks Lake on the Colorado River. The landscape of the park is hilly, with many cedar, live oak, prickly pear cacti, and yuccas. The ground is rocky, mainly consisting of gneiss rock. Devil's Waterhole is a small extension of Inks Lake, which is almost completely surrounded by rock. A canoe tour is conducted at Devil's Waterhole, and although diving and swimming may be done at the waterhole, it is at one's own risk, without a lifeguard. There is abundant wildlife at the park, including deer, vultures, quail, and many other types of birds.

Fire Museum of Texas

The Fire Museum of Texas opened in 1984 in the historic Central Fire Headquarters Station, built in 1927 in downtown Beaumont. In 1986 the State Firemen's & Fire Marshals' Association of Texas endorsed the museum as the Official Fire Museum of Texas. Operating as a 501 (c)(3), the Museum is managed by a Board of Directors through a partnership with the City of Beaumont. The Museum is recognized as one of Texas's Best FREE places for individuals, groups and families to visit.

Cadillac Ranch, I call it the Cadillac Graveyard, standing along Route 66 west of Amarillo, Texas, is a public art installation and sculpture created in 1974 by Chip Lord, Hudson Marquez and Doug Michels, who were a part of the art group Ant Farm.
