    The Höllental in the Black Forest is a deep valley - in places like a gorge - in the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. The valley, which is about 9 km long, is located in the southern part of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park about 18 km southeast of Freiburg im Breisgau between Hinterzarten and Buchenbach-Himmelreich. The Rotbach stream runs through the valley. Hölle is the German word for hell. In the narrow, dark valley, travellers almost felt like moving underground. The valley was the locale of the Battle of Emmendingen in 1796, part of the French Revolutionary Wars.

Europa-Park is located in Rust, in south-western Germany, between Freiburg and Strasbourg, France.     The Titisee is a lake in the southern Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg. It covers an area of 1.3 km2 and is an average of 20 m deep. It owes its formation to the Feldberg glacier, the moraines of which were formed in the Pleistocene epoch and nowadays form the shores of the lake. The lake's outflow, at 840 m above sea level, is the River Gutach, which merges with the Haslach stream below Kappel to form the Wutach). The waters of the Titisee thus drain eventually into the Upper Rhine between Tiengen and Waldshut. On the north shore lies the spa town of the same name, today a part of the municipality of Titisee-Neustadt.

It is maintained as a garden island and a model of excellent environmental practices. Administratively, the island has been a part of Konstanz since December 1, 1971, when the municipality of Litzelstetten, of which Mainau was part, was incorporated into Konstanz. Mainau is still part of Litzelstetten, now one of 15 wards of Konstanz. The island belongs to the Lennart Bernadotte-Stiftung , an entity created by Prince Lennart Bernadotte, Count of Wisborg, originally a Prince of Sweden and Duke of Småland.     The Lichtentaler Allee is a historic park and arboretum set out as a 2.3 kilometer strolling avenue along the west bank of the river Oos in Baden-Baden, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is open daily without charge. The avenue is said to have begun in 1655 as path between the town market and Lichtenthal monastery. It was developed from 1850-1870 at the instigation of the casino Bénazet, and planted with a wide variety of trees and woody plants. Today the avenue contains about 300 types of native and exotic woody plants, including alders, azaleas, chestnuts, ginkgos, limes, magnolias, maples, oaks, and sycamores. The avenue terminates at its northwest end in a kurgarten, and at the southeast in a dahlia garden containing busts of Clara Schumann, Johannes Brahms, and Robert Stolz.
