Houthalen-Helchteren is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. Houthalen-Helchteren consists of Houthalen-centrum, Houthalen-Oost, Helchteren, Sonnis, Laak, Meulenberg and Lillo. On January 1, 2006, Houthalen-Helchteren had a total population of around 31.000. The total area is 78.27 km² which gives a population density of 383 inhabitants per km².

Walibi Belgium, formerly Walibi Wavre and then Six Flags Belgium, is a Belgian theme park located in Wavre, close to Brussels. During the 1998 to 2004 period, it was owned by Six Flags, Inc, an American theme park operator. It was later sold to Palamon Capital Partners. As of 2006, the park is owned and operated, along with Paris' Parc Astérix, by CDA Parks . The Walibi name comes from the mix of Wavre, Limal and Bièrges, three towns in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant, where the park is situated.

The Musée Hergé, or Hergé Museum, is a museum in Belgium dedicated to the life and work of the Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi , who wrote under the pen name Hergé, creator of the series of comic albums, The Adventures of Tintin. The museum is located in the town of Louvain-la-Neuve in Wallonia to the south of Brussels at the address, Rue Labrador 26, Tintin's first home in the books. It was designed by the French architect Christian de Portzamparc, with interiors designed by cartoonist Joost Swarte. The first stone was laid May 2007 during the centenary of Hergé's birth and it opened in June 2009. It consists of three floors with a total of nine exhibition rooms, and a café, museum shop and mini cinema.

Durbuy, the smallest city in Belgium

a daytrip to Durbuy, a medieval city in Belgium and one of the smallest cities in the world.
we went early in the morning so there were not many tourists.

Hasselt Limburg Belgium

It's worth it to visit Hasselt, Limburg. I will show you what you'll be able to see in Hasselt though i haven't featured everything I was just having a great time walking around the ring road. The locals I met mostly were friendly and helpful. I've learnt that in the city it's mandatory to booked a taxi ahead of time. It's not like in a big city where you'll just hailed taxi outside. Kindly note that taxi driver won't stop they just pass by and you'll be able to catch taxi cab in the stations like train stations and bus stations only. It's really worth it to visit Hasselt, Limburg. It was the first Belgian city to recieve the title most sociable city of Flanders in 2004. Mostly tourist attractions can be accessible by foot within the ring-road. Locals were friendly, accommodating and helpful. It's a safe city to visit as a solo women traveller. The best weekend getaway to unwind, explore and relax. One of my memorable trip i ever had.

Urbex in the Ardennes - Belgium. (sanatorium du basil)

Me and my mate Niels decided to visit a Urbex location in the Ardennes called: sanatorium du basil.
We wanted to hike and sleep in the forest of the Ardennes in Belgium plus, we wanted to visit a sick urbex location. Well, The sanatorium was a good choice. You can find the great building in the middle of the woods, very creepy!
