    U.S. Route 30 is an east–west main route of the system of United States Numbered Highways, with the highway traveling across the northern tier of the country. It is the third longest U.S. route, after U.S. Route 20 and U.S. Route 6. The western end of the highway is at Astoria, Oregon; the eastern end is in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Despite long stretches of parallel and concurrent Interstate Highways, it has not been decommissioned like other long haul routes such as U.S. Route 66. Much of the historic Lincoln Highway, the first road across America , became part of US 30; it is still known by that name in many areas.

    Lookout Pass Ski and Recreation Area is a ski area in the western United States. It is at Lookout Pass on Interstate 90, on the border of Idaho and Montana, five miles east of Mullan, Idaho. It has a summit elevation of 5,650 ft on Runt Mountain with a vertical drop of 1,150 ft on the northeast-facing slopes. Lookout Pass operates five days per week during the ski season, and daily during the Christmas vacation break. The area has tripled in size since 2003; new terrain was opened to the southeast-facing slopes on the Montana side of the border in December 2003, and on the northwest-facing North Side in 2006.
