Greetings from the West Coast, USA! If there's one thing everyone's got to do once in their life, it's go on a road trip through the States.
With the spring sunshine on our backs, we drove down from Vancouver and headed to Astoria, Cannon Beach & Cape Disappointment, taking in some of the astounding beauty of the West Coast of the States along the way.

Driving down from Vancouver, we decided to go on the all American road trip to the West Coast of the States.
Our first stop was at the stunningly beautiful Cannon Beach, famous not only for Haystack Rock, but also as the location of a number of films including one of our childhood favourites, The Goonies!
After chucking a frisbee around and playing in the water like a couple of kids, we headed over to Del Ray beach, a gorgeous beach where we even got to drive on the sand for mile after mile with the sea on our left and the sand on our right. To us, this is what road trippin' is all about.
Once we made it up to Astoria, we managed to see The Goonies house (we may have even done the Truffle Shuffle!) and also the school where they filmed Kindergarten Cop! Another thing you can see at Astoria are the seals as they laze about in the evening sun, all while they cry out to each other.
From Astoria, we drove over the Columbia River on the longest trust bridge in North America with Cape Disappointment as our destination. With a name such as that we had to see how disappointing it could really be. The answer? We'll, for that you're just going to have to watch the video, aren't you...

Cape Disappointment -Washington State Park, USA
A trip to Cape Disappointment -Washington State Park, USA. Set to relaxing music. The video features two different light houses one on the Pacific Ocean side and the other on the Columbia River. The park is located at the mouth of the Columbia River on the Northern Washington side. One can see cormorant, sea gulls, pelican and fishing boats in the video. The area includes jetties, sand dunes, forest and wetlands. To the left of the light house on the columbia river, when looking up from the water, one can see the remnants of Fort Canby.
