  • 4. Villa Erba Cernobbio
    Villa Erba is a 19th-century villa in Cernobbio, on the shores of Lake Como, Italy. It was built by Luigi Erba, brother of the prominent businessman Carlo Erba , to show off his wealth. After the death of Luigi Erba, the villa was inherited by his daughter Carla and was used by members of Carla's family, including her son Luchino Visconti. In 1986, it was bought by a public consortium to use as an exposition and congress center. In 2004, the villa served as a filming location for the movie Ocean's Twelve. In early 2005, American singer Gwen Stefani, shot the music video for her 2005 single, Cool, on the villa's grounds. In the same year, a leg of Anastacia's Live at Last Tour was hosted in the villa's park.

    The Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi is an opera house located in Trieste, Italy and named after the composer Giuseppe Verdi. Privately constructed, it was inaugurated as the Teatro Nuovo to replace the smaller 800-seat Cesareo Regio Teatro di San Pietro on 21 April 1801 with a performance of Johann Simon Mayr's Ginevra di Scozia. Initially, the Nuovo had 1,400 seats. In 1821, it became known as the Teatro Grande. By the end of the 18th century, the need for a new theatre in Trieste became evident. Its main theatre, the Teatro di San Pietro, had become increasingly inadequate and finally closed its doors in 1800.     The Kurhaus of Meran, South Tyrol is a famous building in the town and a symbol of it. The ornate structure was constructed at a time when Meran became a popular spa resort due to the frequent visits of Empress Elisabeth of Austria and the aristocracy. The building's original structure, which is today's west wing, was constructed in 1874 while the newer wing was added in 1912 and 1914 by the Viennese Jugendstil architect Friedrich Ohmann. The exterior features a large portico with columns and is decorated with allegorical statues. The rotunda is visible from far.
