Ivangorod is a town in Kingiseppsky District of Leningrad Oblast, Russia, located on the right bank of the Narva River by the Estonia–Russia border, 159 kilometers west of St. Petersburg. Population: 9,854 ; 11,206 ; 11,833 .Ivangorod is a major border crossing point and a railway station by the Tallinn–St. Petersburg line. It is located just opposite to the Estonian town of Narva. The town is the site of the Ivangorod Fortress, a prominent fortification monument of the 15th and the 16th centuries.

The Siege of Leningrad was a prolonged military blockade undertaken from the south by the Army Group North of Nazi Germany against Leningrad, historically and currently known as Saint Petersburg, in the Eastern Front theatre of World War II. The siege started on 8 September 1941, when the last road to the city was severed. Although the Soviet forces managed to open a narrow land corridor to the city on 18 January 1943, the siege was not lifted until 27 January 1944, 872 days after it began. It was one of the longest and most destructive sieges in history, and possibly the costliest in casualties suffered.

The Rozhdestveno Memorial Estate is a writer's house museum and park near Siverskaya, Gatchinsky District, Leningrad Oblast, that commemorates the most famous owner of the estate, Vladimir Nabokov; the Batovo and Vyra estates, also immortalized by Nabokov, are nearby. As Nabokov spent part of his youth at Vyra, he visited his grandmother at Batovo and his uncle at Rozhdestveno. The Batovo mansion burned down in 1925, Vyra was destroyed in 1944, leaving Rozhdestveno as the sole survivor of the triad of estates owned by the Nabokov family. The estate is named after the Rozhdestva Bogoroditsy Church . The mansion designed in the Italian style displays six Ionic columns supporting the main facade. The roof is crowned by a rectangular belvedere. Inside, the large center hall was used for balls ...

Pskov city has a population of 200 000 people who are looking towards a brighter future.
Pskov - one of Russia's oldest and most beautiful cities, it boasts one of the greatest number of extant historical monuments - over 300. The earliest go back to the 12 th century, the latest to the early 20 th. It was the strongest fortress on the western border of Russia. Foreign commercial relations were of great importance for Pskov. Famous Russian's poet Pushkin wrote a cycle of poems in the Pskov province. There are many churches in Pskov. You can visit Kremlin with beautiful Trinity Cathedral, 17th century. There you can see 7 tier iconostasis.

Pskov is an amazing city - with even more amazing people.

Изучил самый русский город Китая, купил сигареты для коррупционеров и вспомнил молодость.

В Харбин ездят смотреть русскую архитектуру, покупать русские товары и слушать русскую музыку. Харбин не имеет никакого отношения к Китаю. Об этом говорит нам не только история, но и сами китайцы, ведь для них это повод неплохо заработать на репутации Харбина.

Какое-то время в городе даже одновременно действовало две администрации, русская и китайская.
