    Ploshchad Gabdully Tukaya or Ğabdulla Tuqay Mäydanı is a station of the Kazan Metro. Opened as part of the first stage of the system on 27 August 2005, it is located in very center of the city, and is named after the square which carries the name of the famous Tatar poet Ğabdulla Tuqay. The station is a standard sub-surface pillar bi-span arrangement, with 12 square concrete pillars running along the central axis of the platform. Architects M. Bykov, V. Kudryashov and R. Safin took a theme that was reminiscent of the romantic Tatar literature period during the poet's years.
