The state covers a total area of over 9,000 km², and it consists of the mainland and Langkawi. The mainland has a relatively flat terrain, which is used to grow rice. Langkawi is an archipelago of islands, most of which are uninhabited.     Aman Central is a shopping center in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia. It is located at the intersection of Jalan Tambang Badak and Jalan Teluk Wanjah, along Lebuhraya Darulaman opposite Alor Setar Tower. The location of Aman Central was previously an abandoned site for more than 30 years which was initially proposed for Plaza Tunku Yaakob. Langkawi is also an administrative district, with the town of Kuah as its largest town. Langkawi is a duty-free island.
