Harvest Host Free Camping at Rumbleway Farm in Maryland

On this Airstream Life vLog, we arrive to spend the night at Rumbleway Farm in Maryland as part of the Harvest Host program. The Harvest Host membership allows to camp here on this beautiful farm for free!
When we arrived the owners were busy running the farm so we parked the Airstream out of the way until they were back. While waiting Penny got to see her first peacock. She was very interested in it and didn't quite know what to make of it.
Once they returned we checked in and got set up on a nice level spot on their property. Then we went to check out the farm store. So many delicious products. We ended up buying some ground beef, sausages, and scrapple all from their animals. How cool is that? Everything was frozen so we didn't eat them there but are planning some awesome dinners in the future.
After shopping at the store we sat out to have happy hour and then watch the sunset. So gorgeous! You never know what you will get when you go to a Harvest Host but it is almost always quiet and beautiful!
We spent a peaceful night...not even disturbed by the peacocks before we started heading towards Delaware. We highly recommend Rumbleway Farms if you are driving through Maryland in the future.

We finally crossed the border and made it to CANADA! We had so much fun at our Harvest Host, the Burning Kiln, and visiting a lot of the beaches! Fabian even got sunburned in Canada! Who would have thought?!? So yea, it really wasn't as scary as we thought and we experienced some things that we never expected to, like a Parrot on a motorcycle? Harvest Hosts locations in Ohio
Join us as we meet up with our daughter and her fiancé in Vermilion, Ohio. We visit two Harvest Hosts locations and join in on a fun day in downtown Vermilion for their Vettemilion car show show. Corvettes were able to be seen throughout the town. And the best part, Vermilion is right on Lake Erie. We took a stroll through town and enjoyed the view from the beach.

Harvest Host in New York | Abbott Farms, Cheap RV Living
An overnight stay at a Harvest Host location in New York was a great stop for The McMillan Express. At Abbotts Farm in Baldwinsville, NY, Christina had her fair share of ice cream and Ben stocked up on organic meat. The hard apple cider was a hit, also! Nancy and Windsor Abbott are very sweet and special folks who love the Harvest Hosts Program.
This was a great stop for us on our RV journey across America!

How Cheese is Made | Harvest Hosts | MOTM VLOG #51

It takes 10 lbs of milk to make 1lb of cheese!
Here is an overview of the process.
Ripening- the solidification of milk by means of a starter cutler.
Renneting- the addition of an enzyme called rennet which causes coagulation of the milk protein into cheese curd.
Cutting - The uniform breaking up of a curd mass to facilitate the release of whey which is trapped in the curd mass
Cooking - The heating of the cut curd which forces moister out of the curd causing it to firm up.
Draining - The removal of whey by means of a gravity drain in the cheese vat
Salting - The addition of specialty grade salt to season, help in drying and preservation of the cheese
Pressing - The removal of whey by means of a mechanical press
Drying - The air drying of cheese allowing bacteria to develop the flavor and protective rind
Waxing - Air tight sealing of the cheese in melted wax to protect the cheese during aging.
Aging - The resting period in which the flavor and charterer of the cheese develops .
