Kilkenny is full of old buildings with it's own history . We would like to create a tour around the town for tourists planning to visit Kilkenny. There were 9 gates and 6 towers defending the city in the Middle Ages.

Dark grey parts of the wall still exist, and light grey parts of the wall have been removed.

Keem Bay - Achill Island - County Mayo - Ireland

La baie de Keem est accessible par une route étroite et sinueuse. Cette région de l'île d'Achill est vraiment authentique et semble inhabitée. Seuls sur cette route, nous n'y avons aperçu que des moutons.

La superbe plage de Keem est nichée au pied de hautes falaises, dont le mont Croaghaun à l'Est et Moyteoge Head à l'ouest.

Son étendue de sable blanc contrastant avec les eaux turquoises de l'océan ne nous laisse aucunement indifférent. C'est toujours un plaisir pour nous de découvrir de si beaux lieux.

A noter qu'il existe également quelques sentiers de randonnée dans ce secteur.

La pêche au requin pèlerin était très florissante à cet endroit dans les années 50 et 60. Son huile de foie était exportée pour servir de lubrifiant dans l'industrie aérospatiale. La pêche se pratiquait sur des barques traditionnelles appelées currachs.
