Beautiful Places To See- Koh Lipe/ Ko Lipe Islands, Thailand
Koh Lipe or Ko Lipe, pronounced as Ko Lee-pae, is the southern most island in Thailand and is one of the many Butang Islands located in the beautiful Tarutao National Marine Park.
Lipe island was first discovered by the Chao Ley (or Sea Gypsies) who would travel from island to island in search of the best fishing in the areas to feed themselves and their tribes. The Chao Ley eventually found a permanent home on Koh Lipe and were given a grant to settle on the island's eastern beach (Koh Lipe Sunrise Beach) and have since remained there.
Pattaya Beach is by far the most populated area on the island so it's more of a busy vibe. The east coast or Sunrise Beach, which stretches from the south to the north of the island, and as the name suggests, faces the sunrise and the northern end of Sunrise Beach, Karma Beach, faces Koh Adang, offers a mix of both so if you want to experience everything be sure to find some accommodation on Sunrise Beach. The west or Sunset Beach offers a relaxed, laid-back vibe to get away from the stresses of daily life. There is also a Koh Lipe Walking Street that is in the middle of the island and connects Pattaya and Sunrise Beach. Walking Street is filled with great accommodation and shops. The island itself is not so difficult to reach, but it's still quite a secret. From the middle of November until late May (high season) you can get to Lipe from several places.
Koh Lipe is an excellent choice for your first or last stop in Thailand as its located in close proximity to Pak Bara, Phuket, Phi Phi Island, Krabi, Hat Yai, and Langkawi, Malaysia. It's also only a hop away to Samui and Koh Tao. These are all of course in the very south of Thailand. Lipe also has an immigration office and is only about 1 hour away from Langkawi in Malaysia, so it's a great place to do a visa run, or exit Thailand from an island.

This is part 2 of our recent trip to Koh Lipe and Satun in the deep south of Thailand. Koh Lipe is bragged by many as the most beautiful place in Thailand and my wife Aorn has been asking me to take her there for a while now, so I had no choice but to travel across the country to find out for ourselves what it’s like. This raw travel video shows our holiday on Koh Lipe and the 7 island tour we did.

Satun is in the south of Thailand, on the border with Malaysia. It has some of the most beautiful islands in Thailand, including Koh Lipe, as well as waterfalls, national parks and the food there is amazing! There is plenty of delicious Thai street food at the food markets and some amazing Thai restaurants too. We ate some scrumptious Thai food while we were traveling in Satun, including during our Koh Lipe holiday!

You’ll find Thai street food on many street corners in Thailand, as well as at every market, be it in Koh Lipe, Satun, Krabi, Phuket, Bangkok or Pattaya, Thai food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. The markets in Thailand are also a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.

Koh Lipe is a tiny tropical island located in the Andaman Sea just off the west coast of Thailand. We spent four days on this amazing island, the sky was blue and the water perfectly clear. Here we will show you two of my favourite beaches on the on Koh Lipe; Sunrise Beach, and Sunset Beach... oh and there's a fantastic snorkelling spot to explore here too!

Koh Lipe really is the most beautiful island in Thailand! With its crystal clear water and pristine beaches, Koh Lipe feels like heaven on earth. Even better: we got to spend time with family and good friends :3. We started our day with sunrise meditation, yoga and good food. During the day we went swimming, got a relaxing massage and we ended the day visiting 'the Cliff' for sunset and had dinner at 'The Box' in walking street. If you are thinking of going to Thailand, please don't forget to visit Koh Lipe! You will love it!

All the beaches of Ko Lipe - Quick Beach Guide, Thailand
The beaches of Ko Lipe:
1) Video 1- Pattaya Beach - good for Families. Shallow and clean. Softest white sand. Although little bit of dead corals and shells.
2) Video 2 - Mountain Beach Resort - Sand Bar - Soft sand but with lots of sea shells.
3) Video 3 - Upper Sunrise Beach - Aggressive waves, soft but grainy sand.
4) Video 4 - South of Sunrise Beach - Not as shallow as Pattaya but very wavy and grainy.
