They are part of the Eastern Ghats, which is a mountain range that runs mostly parallel to the east coast of South India. The mountain is a site of pilgrimage, because of the Arapaleeswarar temple, but the area is also popular with hikers.

Panchanathi, a jungle stream, cascades down as the Agaya Gangai , near Arapaleeswarar temple atop the Kolli Hills in Namakkal district, Tamil Nadu. It is a 300 feet waterfall of the river Aiyaru. It is located in a mountain valley.The caves of Korakka Siddhar and Kalaanginatha Siddhar are situated near the Agaya Gangai waterfalls in the nearby forest.

പശ്ചിമഘട്ട മലനിരയിലെ വന്യമനോഹര മലയാണ് തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ കൊല്ലി മല. മരണത്തിന്റെ മലയെന്ന് പേര് ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒന്ന്. 70 കൊടിയ വളവുകളുള്ള ചുരം താണ്ടി മുകളിലെത്തിയാല്‍ മനോഹരമായ വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം ആകാശ ഗംഗ. തമിഴ്നാടിന്റെ മധ്യഭാഗത്ത് നാമക്കലില്‍ നിന്ന് 55 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ അകലെയാണ് കൊല്ലി ഹില്‍സ്. മനോഹരമായ വനമേഖലയ്ക്ക് നടുവിലാണ് പ്രദേശം.

സമുദ്രനിരപ്പില്‍ നിന്ന് 1300 മീറ്റര്‍ ഉയരത്തില്‍ സഹ്യന്റെ തലയെടുപ്പായി ഉയര്‍ന്നു നില്‍ക്കുന്നു.ബൈക്ക് യാത്രികരുടേയും ട്രക്കേഴ്സിന്റെയും ഇഷ്ടകേന്ദ്രത്തിലേക്ക് എത്തിപ്പെടാന്‍ കുറച്ചൊന്നുമല്ല കഷ്ടപ്പെടേണ്ടത്. സെന്തമംഗലത്ത് നിന്ന് 30 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ യാത്ര ചെയ്താല്‍ കൊല്ലി മലയുടെ മുകളിലെത്താം. ഈ മുപ്പത് കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ യാത്രയില്‍ 70 ഹെയര്‍പിന്‍ വളവ്. എല്ലാ 200 മീറ്ററിലും മിക്കവാറും കൊടും വളവുകള്‍. കാലാവസ്ഥ യാത്രക്കിടയില്‍ മാറികൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കും, കാഴ്ചകളും.....
