Kvam is a municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality is located along the Hardangerfjorden in the traditional district of Hardanger. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Norheimsund. Other larger settlements in the municipality include Øystese, Bru, Ålvik, Tørvikbygd, Omastranda, and Mundheim. Historically, the municipality was named Vikør.The 617-square-kilometre municipality is the 183rd largest by area out of the 422 municipalities in Norway. 1. Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall Norheimsund
Steinsdalsfossen is a waterfall in the village of Steine in the municipality of Kvam in Hordaland county, Norway. The waterfall is located about 2 kilometres west of the large village of Norheimsund which sits along the Hardangerfjorden.The waterfall is one of the most visited tourist sites in Norway. From the parking lot, the path goes along the waterfall, up a hill, and behind it where visitors can walk dryshod into the rumbling water. Steinsdalsfossen is 46 metres high, with a main drop of 20 metres , and has the greatest volume when the snow melts in May and June. Steinsdalsfossen is part of the Fosselva river that comes from the water of the lake Myklavatnet, located 814 metres above sea level in the mountains above the waterfall.

Kvamskogen is a mountain plateau in the Hardanger region of Hordaland county, Norway. It is located in the municipalities of Samnanger and Kvam. Traditionally, the term was used only for the parts of the plateau located in Kvam municipality, but today it is used for the entire plateau. Kvamskogen contains several ski resorts, and more than 1700 cabins, the third highest concentration of cabins in the country.

Amazing Norway

(UK) Norway is so beautiful that you want to photograph literally everything that surrounds you. I bring home gigabytes of photos from every trip to this amazing country. But this time I decided to take a video as well, in order to make then small video reports. This is my first experience and of course still amateur, but I will do my best to improve!

Из каждого путешествия по этой прекрасной стране я привожу домой гигабайты фотографий, но на этот раз я решил еще и снимать видео, чтобы потом делать небольшие видеоотчеты. Der Steinsdalsfossen ist einer der meistbesuchten Wasserfälle Norwegens. Er ist Teil des Flusses Fosselva und hat eine Höhe von ca. 50 m. Ein Weg führt hinter den Wasserfall, so dass Besucher zwischen Felswand und Wasser gelangen können.

Auf der Expo 2000 in Hannover war ein 15 m hohes Modell des Steinsdalsfossen Teil der norwegischen Ausstellung.

Various footage from a couple of drives in Gudbrandsdalen, a beautiful valley in central Norway. We were lucky to have such great weather. I just wanted to show off some of the beautiful countryside ... there's a flash of something not quite so picturesque, some roadworks going on, but what can you do. :-) Mostly it's green and beautiful. :-) Sorry about the radio playing in the background, my family is obsessed with radio.
