Zweisimmen to Gstaad | Train ride Side View by swiss train through the alps in the snow. This trainride in Switzerland is operated by the Montreux Oberland Bernois Bahn - MOB. Along the way we are passing the stops Oeschseite, Saanenmöser, Schönried and Gruben before arriving in Gstaad. This stunning trainride is part of the GoldenPass panoramic train route which runs between Luzern - Interlaken - Zweisimmen and Montreux. This stunning extraordinary journey is operated by 3 railway companys:

Interlaken Ost - Zweisimmen | BLS - Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon-Bahn
Zweisimmen - Montreux | MOB - Montreux Oberland Bernois Bahn
*Note: In Zweisimmen is a new track gauge conversion system, so that in the future the trains of the GoldenPass Express can operate on the narrow gauge railways of the MOB as well as on the standard gauge railway of the BLS. From the end of 2020, this will create a direct connection without change between the three major tourism regions of Montreux, Gstaad and Interlaken. (source: bls)

Zweisimmen nach Gstaad | Zugfahrt mit dem Schweizer Zug durch die Alpen im Schnee. Diese Zugfahrt in der Schweiz wird von der Montreux Oberland Bernois Bahn - MOB betrieben. Auf dem Weg passieren wir die Haltestellen Oeschseite, Saanenmöser, Schönried und Gruben, bevor wir in Gstaad ankommen. Diese atemberaubende Zugfahrt ist Teil der GoldenPass-Panorama-Route, die zwischen Luzern - Interlaken - Zweisimmen und Montreux verläuft. Diese außergewöhnliche Reise wird von drei Eisenbahngesellschaften betrieben:

Switzerland Waterfall (Simmen Falls)
The Simme River flows through the eponymous valley in the Bernese Oberland from Lenk to Wimmis near Spiez. The Simmen source bubbles from a mighty limestone wall and is composed of the meltwater of the glacier which is located between Wildstrubel and Rohrbachstein. Forming the shape of a 30-meter wide fan, the water gushes out of seven springs from slits in the rocks on the Rezliberg .
Below the Alp, the river forms the 200-meter-high Simmen Falls. The meltwater rapidly flows over and down rocks that are several meters high, gathering a lot of force in the process. A small footpath leads along the water. It is however safer to view the spraying water from the Barbara Bridge.
The Simmen Falls are discovered at a distance of five kilometers behind family-friendly Lenk in the Simmen Valley.
