Amazing Places to Visit in China - Guilin
Visitors making their first trip to China usually stick to the larger cities. More experienced visitors will strike out in other directions, where traveling may be a bit more frustrating because of the language barrier, but most definitely doable for independent travelers. For a country of its massive size and varied geography, however, it's surprising how relatively few people outside China appreciate the extent of the country's other attractions, many of them natural wonders to rival any in the world.
Guilin is a scenic town and one of the best-known tourist destinations in China. The riverside town in southern China is most famous for its karst hills and traditional fishing-village lifestyle. Guilin is China's most picturesque region and has long been one of the world's most famous travel destinations. It's breathtaking scenery has attracted many famous poets and artists for thousands of years. Guilin, Wade-Giles romanization Kuei-lin, also spelled Kweilin, formerly Lingui, city, northeastern Zhuang Autonomous Region of Guangxi, southern China. The natural route centre of the Gui River basin, Guilin lies along the easiest of all the routes leading from central China to Guangdong province.

Sure you know about the skyscrapers and shopping, but there is so much to do in Hong Kong that you may never have thought of, like visit the geopark in Sai Kung or you can walk up to the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery. Go to the traditional fishing village of Tai O or take the gondola up to Ngong Ping to see the giant Buddha. There's shopping and dining in Soho, beautiful Victoria Harbour and a magnificent view from both the sky100 and Victoria Peak. But there are the usual things like watch the symphony of lights from the clock tower on Kowloon Island, walk along the waterfront to see the walk of stars, and eat. Cuisine is very important in Hong Kong, so make sure to take a food tour to understand what you should eat and what you should order. Enjoy your time in Asia's world city.

Visit the Sky100
Take a ride on the Historic Peak Tram
Watch the Symphony of Lights from the Clocktower in Kowloon.
We're walking up to 10,000 Buddhas Monastery and the path is line by 500 disciples.
Be sure to take the cable car up to the village of Ngon Ping on Lantau Island to see the Tian Tan Buddha and the Po Lin Monastery.
Come to Sai Kung just an hour outside of Hong Kong.
Perfect day out on the water here, absolutely beautiful.
When in Hong Kong, jump on the subway, it's cheap and it's easy to use.
When in Hong Kong, you must visit Soho to enjoy its many bars and cafés, antique shopping and a visit to the Man Mo Temple.
Take a ride on the world's longest escalator.
The Tai O Fishing Villages is a great day trip where you can experience a more traditional way of life.
Take a scenic boat trip, explore the stilt houses, and browse the many fish markets.
Wow, that's a lot of dried fish shops.
Seafood and dining are a large part of every day life in Hong Kong, a visit wouldn't be complete without taking a food tour.
The district of Sham Shui Po is an older district of the city where you can taste traditional food but also explore the markets, old shops, and get to know the locals.
There's a lot more to Hong Kong than just shopping and skyscrapers
If you step out of downtown you'll find a thriving outdoor community, a fine dining scene, friendly people, and plenty of culture.
After all, Hong Kong is Asia's world city.
