Luverne is a city in Rock County, Minnesota, United States, along the Rock River. The population was 4,745 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat. It is one of four towns profiled in the 2007 Ken Burns documentary The War. It is the main setting for the second season of the TV show Fargo.

Blue Mounds State Park is a state park of Minnesota, USA, in Rock County near the town of Luverne. It protects an American bison herd which grazes on one of the state's largest prairie remnants. The state park is named after a linear escarpment of Precambrian Sioux Quartzite bedrock, which although pink in color, is said to have appeared blueish in the distance to early settlers. Parts of the cliff are up to 100 feet high. Unusual in the surrounding prairie landscape, they are a popular site for rock climbing. The park also preserves a 1,250-foot-long line of rocks aligned by Plains Indians which marks where the sun rises and sets on the spring and fall equinoxes. Greenville Alabama - A Walk in Town

Greenville, Alabama

Greenville, known as the Camellia City, is the county seat of Butler County, Alabama. At the 2000 census, the population was 7,228. The town lies between Montgomery and Mobile, Alabama, along the area of Interstate 65 known as the Lost Highway in honor of Country Singer Hank Williams, Sr. Greenville was first settled in 1819. Immigrants named it Greenville due to the forests of oak trees that reminded them of their former home in Greenville, South Carolina. Greenville's original name was Buttsville.

Road Trip: Western USA (Part 1)

This is the first part of a multi-part series. Links to the other parts are below the description.

In the summer of 2018, two days after our wedding, my wife and I embarked on a four-week journey across the US for our honeymoon. My wife is from South Korea, where we live together, and this was her first trip to the US (my home country). We chose to spend our honeymoon driving cross-country because we didn’t know if we’d ever again get another opportunity like this. Starting from my parents’ home in Ohio, our journey took us over 7,000 miles (11,000 km) across 18 states. This first video mainly focuses on the time we spent driving through the midwest and exploring South Dakota (namely, the Badlands and the Black Hills). The other videos in this series will chronicle our travels through Glacier National Park, Washington state (Seattle, San Juan Islands, Olympic Peninsula), Oregon (Portland, the coast), California (redwoods, San Francisco, Yosemite, Death Valley), Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Utah (Monument Valley, Arches National Park), and Denver.

*A note about this first video: You may notice that there’s a point in the video when we are no longer driving the same vehicle we began the trip with. This is because we ran into car trouble a couple of days into the trip, causing us to get stuck in the Black Hills longer than we’d planned and forcing us to eventually swap cars for the remainder of the trip.
