Manson is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Chelan County in the U.S. state of Washington. It was named in 1912 for Manson F. Backus, president of the Lake Chelan Land Company. Manson is located in the north-central portion of the state on the north shore of Lake Chelan, approximately 7 miles northwest of the city of Chelan. Manson is part of the Wenatchee–East Wenatchee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The USPS ZIP code for Manson is 98831. As of the 2010 census, the population in the Manson was 1,468. 2010 was the first year that Manson was tracked by the census bureau.

Charles Milles Manson was an American criminal and cult leader. In the late 1960s, he formed what became known as the Manson Family, a quasi-commune in California. Manson's followers committed a series of nine murders at four locations in July and August 1969. In 1971, he was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the deaths of seven people, all of which members of the group carried out at his instruction. Manson was also convicted of first-degree murder for two other deaths. At the time the Manson Family began to form, Manson was an unemployed ex-convict who had spent half of his life in correctional institutions for a variety of offenses. Before the murders, he was a singer-songwriter on the fringe of the Los Angeles music industry, chiefly through a chance ...

Lake Chelan is a narrow, 50.5 miles (81.3 km) long lake in Chelan County, north-central Washington state, U.S.[1] It is the largest natural lake in the state by any measure. With the completion of Lake Chelan Dam in 1927, the elevation of the lake was raised up to 21 feet (6.4 m).[2] Two communities lie on the southern end of the lake, and a third sits at the far north end, providing a gateway to the North Cascades National Park. Had a great time with Savannah and Grandpa at the Living history Farm. Animals, jumping from the hay loft, visiting historical manson, Old town buildings and homes. Travel in time from 1700's to the 1900 on an Iowa farm.

Living History Farms in Urbandale, Iowa, tells the amazing story of how Iowans transformed the fertile prairies of the Midwest into the most productive farmland in the world. While at the 500-acre open-air museum, visitors travel at their own pace through historical time periods spanning 300 years.
