First Visit to Harpers Ferry, WV - 6/17-18/99 (MARC & Amtrak)
These secenes were taken during a family vacation in June 1999. On this particular trip, we visited a few locations in West Virginia and Maryland. My family was always pretty good about taking me somewhere trackside, and this trip was no different. As a bonus (but not shown), we road the Western Maryland Scenic Railway and the Cass Scenic Railway as part of the normal sightseeing itinerary. I can't recall completely, but I think we stayed in a motel in the Harpers Ferry area. Unfortunately I only saw 1 CSX train total between the 2 evenings I was out, probably due to the evening commuter trains as well as westbound Amtrak Capitol Limited.
