Mathias is an unincorporated community along the Lost River in Hardy County in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Mathias lies off West Virginia Route 259. Before the consolidated school of East Hardy High School at Baker, Mathias had its own educational facility, Mathias School, which served grades Kindergarten through twelfth. Mathias has one bank , two restaurants, a post office, a new garage, one community center, a gun store, one gas station, as well as Lost River State Park. It was founded by John Mathias and contains his historic homestead, the John Mathias House.

1. Skyline Drive Shenandoah National Park
Skyline Drive is a 105-mile road that runs the entire length of the National Park Service's Shenandoah National Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, generally along the ridge of the mountains. The drive's northern terminus is at an intersection with U.S. Route 340 near Front Royal, and the southern terminus is at an interchange with US 250 near Interstate 64 in Rockfish Gap, where the road continues south as the Blue Ridge Parkway. The road has intermediate interchanges with US 211 in Thornton Gap and US 33 in Swift Run Gap. Skyline Drive is part of Virginia State Route 48, which also includes the Virginia portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway, but this designation is not signed. Tag along with us on part 2 of our trip. This time we leave our base camp at Stonewall Jackson Lake to visit Blackwater falls State park in Davis WV. In our opinion this is one of if not the prettiest state parks in WV that we have seen so far. Of course I am very partial to Camp Creek but the views here at Blackwater are breath taking. I hope the video does it some justice. You just cant get the full effect without being there folks. So load up the family and take a road trip. Our state has some of the most beautiful parks and overlooks you just have to get out there and Get Busy Living. Part 3 we will hike Seneca Rocks.
