Sorsogon is the southernmost province in Luzon, Philippines. We went island hopping in Calintaan and Tikling. Subic Beach was everything we heard it would be, and more. Also found some hidden gems in the towns of Bulusan and Barcelona. We explored the biggest AF mangrove forest we’ve ever seen in the town of Prieto Diaz, with a beautiful sandbar as its finishing touch. The 14-hour drive from Manila was worth it. Glad I brought my drone. Enjoy the video! Cheers!

My grandma came to visit us in the Philippines so we scheduled a trip to their province in Sorsogon, Bicol. We also went island hopping on our 3rd day which is my favorite part of the trip - also get to bond with my mom and my grandma after a long time!

Sorsogon Part 1 - Exploring Subic Beach, Matnog

For two years in a row, GalaMNLa has spent the lenten season in the Bicol province. Travelling by land and driving for almost 12 hours, first part of the holiday getaway was spent in Subic Beach, Matnog, Sorsogon!
Even if it’s technically a public beach, the place is well maintained and not overcrowded. We stayed overnight in Subic Beach and bummed in its pinkish white sand and clear water. Tidying up is not an issue because there’s clean water and clean washrooms. If you don’t know how to cook, you’re lucky because the locals are available to cook for you as long as you have the ingredients.
Nothing beats an awesome beach getaway on a holiday!
