Moneygall is a small village on the border of counties Offaly and Tipperary, in Ireland. It is situated on the R445 road between Dublin and Limerick. The 2011 Census counted 310 people in the village . This was an increase of 12 people since the previous census in 2006. Moneygall has a Catholic church, two shops, a post office, a national school, a Garda station and two pubs. The nearest Church of Ireland church, Borrisnafarney, is 2 km from the village beside the former Loughton Demense.While all of the village is located in County Offaly, the Gaelic Athletic Association playing field is located in County Tipperary, and Moneygall GAA play in the Tippe...

    Barack Obama Plaza , is an off line service area, at Junction 23 of the M7 on the outskirts of the village of Moneygall on the border of Counties Tipperary and Offaly in Ireland. The plaza was opened for business in June 2014 and is accessed using the existing junction 23 slip roads. It is named after US president Barack Obama, whose 3rd great grandfather lived nearby. The ancestor was reportedly Falmouth Kearney, who emigrated to the US in 1850.The service station cost 7 million euros to construct, and opened in 2014. In 2017 the station was briefly announced to have been renamed Trump Plaza, as an April fools joke.
