Montesquiu is a municipality in the comarca of Osona[1] in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the banks of the Ter river in the north of the comarca. It is on the main communication route between Barcelona and Puigcerdà, served by the N-152 road and a station on the RENFE railway line. The thirteenth-century castle is used for cultural events during the summer. Montesquiu became part of Osona in the comarcal revision of 1990: previously it formed part of the Ripollès.

Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park , is one of the fourteen Spanish national parks, and the only one located in Catalonia. A wild mountain region in the Pyrenees, with peaks rising to 3017 m and with nearly 200 lakes, many of them of glacial origin, the park comprises a core area of 141 km2 and a buffer zone of 267 km2 surrounding the park. The park's name in Catalan is Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici, freely translated as The winding streams and St. Maurice lake. The park has an elevation range of 1600 to 3000 metres and contains four major vegetation zones: lower montane, upper montane, subalpine and alpine. The Girona Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Mary of Girona , is a Roman Catholic church located in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Girona. The cathedral's interior includes the widest Gothic nave in the world, with a width of 22 metres , and the second-widest of any church after that of St. Peter's Basilica . Its construction was begun in the 11th century in the Romanesque architectural style, and continued in the 13th century in the Gothic style. Of the original Romanesque edifice only the 12th-century cloister and a bell tower remain. The second bell tower was completed in the 18th century.

Todos los años, hacemos una escapada a Cataluña para ver a la familia de Albert, que vive en Montesquiú. Pues bien, como Vic queda a poca distancia, siempre nos acercamos allí a comer, a cenar o a visitar el mercado el fin de semana.
Este vídeo está grabado uno de esos días, por lo que, lo que podéis ver, es sólo una pequeña parte de todas las opciones que tiene Vic. Su centro es genial para pasear, con restaurantes estupendos para saciar los mejores paladares y esa plaza…. Esa plaza de las pocas que hay de arena en toda España….
