Montour Falls is a village located in Schuyler County, New York, United States. A population of 1,711 was reported by the US Census of 2010. A waterfall at the end of West Main Street gives the village its name. The name Montour is derived from Queen Catharine Montour, a prominent Native American woman of Seneca Indian heritage who lived at the village site in the 18th century. The boundaries defining the Village of Montour Falls occur mostly within the Town of Montour, but a small part lies within the Town of Dix. How to Visit the amazing Watkins Glen State Park in New York Fingerlakes

We just got back from a 40 day road trip back east and part of that
was going to TBEX conference in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. #myflxtbex We took a tour through Watkins Glen State park weather was rainy as could be so the next day I took the boys back for a hike. Watkins Glen NY is a small town near Corning. Watkins Glen State Park New York is located in the middle of the town. Known for its speedway / race track, the town also hosts the Watkins Glen Gorge which is where the state park is. There are a ton of waterfalls and accessible hiking. It's a relatively small park but visually stunning. It has some of the best waterfalls in ny state parks in my opinion and is one of the best things to do in Watkins Glen NY. The boys and I didn't get to hike the whole trail because we ran out of time and we got hungry but it's good to know that the entry to the park is free and parking in their lot is just $8 a day. There are numerous hotels in the town and surrounding area and camping nearby.

Watkins Glen, New York is a small town located on the southern tip of Seneca Lake, one of western New York's glacial Finger Lakes. The town is noted for its role in auto racing, being the home of a street course used in road racing, a famous racetrack, Watkins Glen International, which has hosted the NASCAR Cup Series Cheez-It 355 at The Glen, IndyCar Series Grand Prix at The Glen, and the IMSA SportsCar Championship 6 Hours of Watkins Glen.

This video focuses on the area in and around the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel where I spent the night. I walk around the harbor of beautiful Seneca Lake and take a short drive through town.
