Amtrak's 'Cardinal', #50, Riding from Chicago to Indianapolis!
A ride on Amtrak's train #50, the Cardinal, from Chicago Union Station to Indianapolis Union Station. Obviously not in real-time, just the highlights of the route from a railfan's point of view. Most of the major junctions / interlockings the train passes through between Chicago and Indianapolis are seen, as well as all the station stops on this section of the long-distance train's route. It continues to New York City by way of West Virginia.

Not the greatest location, but was in traffic and decided to get a shot of the VRS loco. They said the Natchez is out for service, but would return. This crossing is main street in Barre, across from Trow and Holden.
Lake Tahoe No Music
Here is my latest video from the Go Pro Hero 3 black edition camera and the Cannon VIXIA HF R40. I was able to do 6 Aerial flights with the DJI Phantom Quad Copter. However, only 2 flights were recorded. This seems to be a problem with the Go Pro camera, where it would stop recording before being told to do so. Many complaints have been filed about this. It seems to be an issue with the SD cards, not being able to store the video fast enough, so it aborts the recording. It is a hit and miss, depending on many factors.
I have combined all of the footage into this 15 minute video. I have removed the music from SOUND HOUND that should have been royalty free. However, youtube wants me to prove that is is, so I have removed it so I can keep the video online. I used iMovie to add the speed up effects, wipes, titles and color correction. I am still disappointed with how choppy some of the video turned out. I hope you don't get sick from watching this. I am still working on getting stable video. One of the big factors from the chopper is the wind. There is a gimbal that should help out with this. I also noticed the flicker in some of the shots when the sun reflects off of the props. I am guessing there may be a filter I need to buy to reduce this effect. Any thoughts or suggestions on how I can improve my future videos would greatly be appreciated.
