Nawalapitiya is a town in Central Province, Sri Lanka. It is in the Kandy District, governed by an Urban Council. It is 38 km away from Kandy and 112 km from Colombo. It is located 589 m above sea level. The town is near Mahaweli Ganga. Nawalapitiya can also be identified as Peace Town, because the population of Sinhala , Tamil , and Muslims peacefully co-exist there.   • 1. Galboda Falls Nawalapitiya
    Galboda Falls is a waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is located by Nuwara Eliya District. Galboda is along the railway track of Colombo to Badulla. The environment is cool with much rain. The waterfall is 30 m high, and the width ranges from between 3 m –6 m , depending on the season. It is 2 km from the railway station. Since the area is close to Watawala, where the rainfall is high, the waterfall is ever young. Annual rainfall here exceeds 4500 mm, 60% of the rain coming from the south-west monsoon dry season is January to February.

    Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is near the Mahaweli River . It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres , at 460 meters above sea level, and with a 200-day annual rainfall. It is managed by the Division of National Botanic Gardens of the Department of Agriculture.

    Ramboda Falls is 109 m high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world. It is situated in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass. It formed by Panna Oya which is a tributary of Kothmale Oya. Altitude of the falls is 945 m above sea level.

    The Victoria Golf and Country Resort is one of the newest Golf Clubs in Sri Lanka. The resort is situated on a former 209 ha coconut and coffee plantation, located adjacent to the Victoria Reservoir. The concept was initially conceived by Mark Bostock, the former Chairman of John Keells Holdings in 1950s. The 18-hole golf course was designed to USPGA specifications by golf architects, Donald Steel and Martin Ebert. Construction commenced in 1996 and was completed in January 1999. The course was named Best in Asia in 2005 by the publication Asian Golf, and is also ranked in the top 100 of Most Beautiful Courses in the World by Golf Digest.
