    Bryggen , also known as Tyskebryggen , is a series of Hanseatic commercial buildings lining the eastern side of the Vågen harbour in Bergen, Norway. Bryggen has since 1979 been on the UNESCO list for World Cultural Heritage sites. The city of Bergen was founded around 1070 within the original boundaries of Tyskebryggen. Around 1350 a Kontor of the Hanseatic League was established there, and Tyskebryggen became the centre of the Hanseatic commercial activities in Norway. Today, Bryggen houses museums, shops, restaurants and pubs.

The 4.46-square-kilometre village has a population of 6,377 which gives the village a population density of 1,430 inhabitants per square kilometre . The village of Brønnøysund originally was declared a ladested in 1923 which made it an independent municipality. After merging with Brønnøy in 1964, it lost its town status. Then in 2000, it once again received town status. The town lies along the coast and is often called the coastal town in the middle of Norway. Brønnøysund is also the regional center of Southern Helgeland. The 3.36-square-kilometre town has a population of 5,070 which gives the town a population density of 1,509 inhabitants per square kilometre .
