Animals and people sharing the hiking trail at Shenandoah National Park
This video shows all the images from a camera trap set along a trail in Shenandoah National Park as part of a citizen science wildlife survey called eMammal. This was one of nearly 2000 camera traps run across 32 protected areas in the region. Analysis of the data showed that most species did not avoid the trails, and that some species even preferred walking on trails. A description of the study is available here:
