On an RV trip to Western Pennsylvania with our three dogs and a cat we visited Ohiopyle State Park on the Youghiogheny River, biked on the Greater Allegheny Rail Passage, visit the Fallingwater house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright -- and get stuck in a truck stop!

Exploring the town of Ohiopyle & Falls in Ohiopyle State Park, PA (Start of LHHT Ultra 70 mile)
In this video I take you from Near the Gate that marks the start (Mile 0) Southern Terminus of the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail through the Town of Ohiopyle (located in Ohiopyle State Park). I pass Wilderness Voyageurs, and walk across the Youghiogheny River via PA State Route 381 South for a view of the Falls. This area is very popular with Kayakers and rafters. Next I head back to the Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge, which is part of the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) Bicycle Trail, and walk across the Youghiogheny River from this higher bridge to return to the parking lot where my vehicle is parked.

A small hidden gem in the deep woods of PA. The water can literally cause hypothermia to set in within 20 minutes, but when you're with your friends and having fun, who cares right?!
