Olcott is a hamlet located in the Town of Newfane in Niagara County, New York, United States 14126. As of the 2010 census, this community population was 1,241. Most locals refer to it as Olcott Beach. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. Olcott is a lakeside community which is home to the deepest harbor on Lake Ontario west of Rochester, NY. The community is at the junction of East/West Lake Road and Lockport-Olcott Road .     Luna Park was an amusement park on the shore of Lake Ontario in Olcott Beach, New York, USA. A popular venue for live entertainment , it was open to the public from 1898 to 1927 . The name of the dance hall and the inscription on the arch spanning the park's main entrance led to the commonly used nickname of Dreamland. In contrast to the similarly named parks that were opened throughout the United States from 1903 to 1914, the primary attractions presented by the Olcott Beach Luna Park were not large rides like the Shoot-the-Chutes and roller coasters but a section of Lake Ontario shore , restaurants and concessions , and live entertainment .     Letchworth State Park is a 14,427-acre state park located in Livingston and Wyoming counties, New York. The park is roughly 17 miles long, following the course of the Genesee River as it flows north through a deep gorge and over several large waterfalls. It is located 35 miles southwest of Rochester and 60 miles southeast of Buffalo, and spans portions of the Livingston County towns of Leicester, Mount Morris, and Portage, as well as the Wyoming County towns of Castile and Genesee Falls. In 1859, industrialist William Pryor Letchworth began purchasing land near the Middle Falls, and started construction of his Glen Iris Estate.
