1. Holy Trinity Column Olomouc
The Holy Trinity Column in Olomouc, in the Czech Republic is a Baroque monument that was built between 1716 to 1754. The main purpose was to celebrate the Catholic Church and faith, partly caused by feeling of gratitude for ending a plague, which struck Moravia between 1713 and 1715. The column was also understood to be an expression of local patriotism, since all artists and master craftsmen working on this monument were Olomouc citizens, and almost all depicted saints were connected with the city of Olomouc in some way.It is the biggest Baroque sculptural group in the Czech Republic. In 2000 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as one of the most exceptional examples of the apogee of central European Baroque artistic expression.

As the Premonstratensians are not monks but Canons Regular, their work often involves preaching and the exercising of pastoral ministry; they frequently serve in parishes close to their abbeys or priories.

Church of Saint Maurice is a Roman Catholic church in Olomouc, Czech Republic. It is located in the city centre, near the Horní náměstí and remains one of the most important landmarks of the city. It is unknown when exactly the church was constructed. It has two towers – the southern tower dates back to 1403, it is the oldest part of the building; the northern one dates back to 1412. The church was probably consecrated in 1492. The Neo-Gothic main altar was built in 1861. The church is built as arched triple-nave. Main nave contains church organs, which originates from 1740–45; with their five manuals and 135 registers they are the 7th largest in Central Europe . Their author was organist Michael Engler. The church has been designated a National Cultural Landmark by the government ...

The large complex occupies an area of more than one hectare, since 1995 declared a cultural heritage site and occupies the Olomouc military hospital.

The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul is located on the Petrov hill in the centre of the city of Brno in the Czech Republic. It is a national cultural monument and one of the most important pieces of architecture in South Moravia. The interior is mostly Baroque in style, while the impressive 84-metre-high towers were constructed to the Gothic Revival designs of the architect August Kirstein in 1904–5 . In the 14th century, the Cathedral was rebuilt on an earlier construction as a three-nave Gothic basilica.

The city of Olomouc is located on the Czech Republic’s Hanna Plain on the March River and was one of the centres of the realm of Great Moravia and is one of the oldest seats of the Přemyslids. Today, modern fountains distract at historic Horni Náměsti, or Upper Ring where, in 1306, Václav The Third was murdered. In 1469, a Hungarian, Matthias Corvinius, was proclaimed King Of Bohemia and the Hussite armies were forced to withdraw. The Hauenschild Palace is a sixteenth century Renaissance building with a richly decorated portal and bay windows, as well having a musical history. In 1767 the eleven year old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart lived there and composed a symphony. Even today mighty Baroque buildings shape the old town. The House Of The Kurie Of The Archbishops is another splendid example of Catholic power. Its residents clearly had a special fondness for running water, as indicated by the Merkur Fountain. Olomouc is a remarkable work of Baroque art as well as being an historic gem!

South of Brno, on the Austrian border, the Czech town of Mikulov occupies a strategic location on the former trade route between Vienna and Brno. The ruling Liechtensteiner were conscious of the economic contribution made by the town’s Jewish population and so for three centuries Mikulov became the centre of the Moravian Jews. The synagogue and around ninety buildings have been preserved and have become splendid cultural monuments. An imposing Renaissance castle rises picturesquely above the town and this once royal castle guarded the country's border. In 1249, Přemysl Ottokar The Third assigned both town and castle to the Styrian family, Liechtenstein, in gratitude for their support. In 1560, the Liechtensteiners sold everything to Hungarian aristocrats and in 1575 Emperor Maximilian The Second passed the town as a fiefdom to the Dietrichsteiner. In the eighteenth century, three fires caused extensive damage but, situated between its vineyards, the Late Gothic appearance of this rebuilt town has managed to survive to the present day.
