Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park is a state park in Pall Mall, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Situated along the Wolf River, the park contains the farm and gristmill once owned by decorated World War I soldier Alvin C. York , who lived in the Pall Mall area for his entire life. Along with the millhouse and milldam, the park includes York's two-story house, York's general store and post office, the Wolf River Cemetery , the Wolf River Methodist Church, the York Bible Institute, and various picnic facilities. Alvin York is one of the most celebrated soldiers in American history. He joined the pacifist Church of Christ in Christian Union in 1915, and when drafted for service in World War I in 1917, he applied for conscientious objector status, but was denied. 2. Cumberland Falls State Resort Park Corbin
Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is a park located just southwest of Corbin, Kentucky and is contained entirely within the Daniel Boone National Forest. The park encompasses 1,657 acres and is named for its major feature, 68-foot-tall Cumberland Falls. The falls are one of the few places in the western hemisphere where a moonbow can frequently be seen on nights with a full moon. The park is also the home of 44-foot Eagle Falls. The section of the Cumberland River that includes the falls was designated a Kentucky Wild River by the Kentucky General Assembly through the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves' Wild Rivers Program.

Burgess Falls State Park is a state park and state natural area in Putnam County and White County, Tennessee, located in the southeastern United States. The park is situated around a steep gorge in which the Falling Water River drops 250 feet in elevation in less than a mile, culminating in a 136-foot cataract waterfall. The Burgess Falls State Natural Area, which covers 350 acres , is managed by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.

While on vacation at Zenith, my family took me to Pall Mall,Tennessee. The home of Sgt.Alvin Cullum York. We started out at the welcome center where they showed a video which I was not allowed to record. Then we went across the road to the Sgt.York's house. A tour guide, also one of York's sons, is heard talking in the background & is seen later.

This beautiful acreage is located on lonesome valley rd approximately 3 miles from where the road dead ends at a public boat launch on Norris Lake.
The property has over 850 feet of road frontage; there is a year round spring, a couple of beautiful rock formations and an old logging road in the center of the acreage.
We go up and spend several weeks per year camping on the land and working to make it more comfortable. We have built a very nice and sturdy 16 X 16 cabin that is complete on the outside but not finished on the inside yet. Most of the land is quit steep but there is what I would guess to be 4 acres of flat to rolling land up top facing south that would be a wonderful home site if you put in a road. There are power lines close to this area.
I am not a hunter but have seen large flocks of wild turkey (approximately 25) on the property.
There is some marketable timber on the property but to me it’s just too pretty to cut. I was told it was select cut about twenty-five years ago.
When your on the property it seems your hundreds of miles from anything yet there is lumber, hardware, groceries, banks, restaurants and Wal-Mart less than ten miles away.

Flat Rock on Sewanee Creek, TN

This is one of my favorite places in The Village on Sewanee Creek. It's located about 800' straight down off the bluff in a common area on Sewanee Creek.
It's a favorite destination of locals as well, who get there any way they can - mostly on 4-wheelers or jeeps.
