A via ferrata is a protected climbing route found in the Alps and certain other locations. The term via ferrata is used in most countries and languages except notably in German-speaking countries including Switzerland and Austria, which use Klettersteig . The essence of a modern via ferrata is a steel cable which runs along the route and is periodically fixed to the rock. Using a via ferrata kit, climbers can secure themselves to the cable, limiting any fall. The cable can also be used as aid to climbing, and additional climbing aids, such as iron rungs , pegs, carved steps and even ladders and bridges are often provided. 4. White Drin Waterfall Pec
The White Drin Waterfall is a waterfall in the western part of Kosovo. It is located in the Žljeb mountain in the Prokletije in the village of Radavc, 11 km away from the town of Peć. The waterfall is located at the mouth of the White Drin river and is 25 m high. Mountainous scenery surrounds the waterfall and makes it a popular tourist attraction throughout Kosovo. Other smaller waterfalls are near the area. The waterfall, together with the cave and the spring of White Drin River is taken under legal protection in 1983, as nature monument due to its geomorphological, hydrological and touristic values with a surface of 89.94 ha .

The mosque overlooks the main street of Prizren and is a dominant feature in the town's skyline.Sinan Pasha Mosque was declared a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1990 by the Republic of Serbia.

Rugova Canyon or Rugova Gorge is a river canyon near Peć in Western Kosovo, in the Prokletije mountains, close to the border with Montenegro. With a length of 25 km and a depth up to 1,000 meters, Rugova is considered to be one of Europe's longest and deepest canyons. It was created by water erosion and the retreat of the Peć glacier. The Peć Bistrica river cuts through the canyon.In 1985, Rugova Canyon was declared a protected monument of natural heritage due to its geological, hydrological, speleological and botanic values and its spectacular landscape.

Road Trip Through Kosovo

After scooting around Bulgaria, we headed to Macedonia which used as a base for visiting Kosovo. We departed Skopje and headed across the mountains of Kosovo to reach the town of Prizren. Lots of great scenery in this part of the world, especially in and around winter when there will definitely be snow in the hills.
