Pecatu is a region located in the southwestern peninsula of Bali, adjacent to the popular resort area of Nusa Dua that is located in the south-eastern end of the island. Pecatu is composed of hilly landscapes with limestone cliffs isolating small, short beaches. It also houses the renowned Uluwatu Temple that offers a spectacular performance of Kecak Dance with the Indian Ocean and magnificent sunset as its background. The area is popular for surfers and also nudists due to its location behind the cliffs with limited access.

Belmond Jimbaran Puri is a resort hotel located directly on the beach at Jimbaran Bay in Bali, Indonesia. Jimbaran is a fishing village and tourist resort, close to Ngurah Rai International Airport. Originally developed by Pansea Hotels & Resorts and named 'Pansea Jimbaran', it was built in conjunction with a sister property - the 'Pansea Ubud' , to allow guests to experience both a beach and the cultural heritage centre of the island. Gunung Kawi
An 11th-century temple complex in Tampaksiring. Comprises 10 rock-cut candi (shrines) that are carved into some 7-metre-high (23 ft) sheltered niches of the sheer cliff face. Thought to be dedicated to King Anak Wungsu of the Udayana dynasty.

Pura Luhur Uluwatu
A Balinese sea temple. Built in the 11th century. One of nine directional temples meant to protect Bali from evil spirits. It is located in Pecatu village, Kuta South District of Badung Regency.

Safari and Marine Park
Facilities: Animals in natural surroundings, Recreation area, Waterpark, Fun Zone, Theatre, Cottages and Bungalows, Restaurants. A zoo bus tours for visitors to view some 400 animals from 3 regions including Indonesia, India, and Africa.

Ubud Monkey Forest
A nature reserve and temple complex. Houses approximately 605 Crab-eating Macaque monkeys. Contains the Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal temple as well as a Holy Spring bathing temple and another temple used for cremation ceremonies.

Goa Gajah
At the façade of the cave is a relief of various menacing creatures and demons carved right into the rock at the cave entrance. The primary figure was once thought to be an elephant, hence the nickname Elephant Cave.

Ubud Palace
A Royal Palace situated in the heart of Ubud Village. Was built during the lordship of the late Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel (1800-1823). A center of art and cultures. The market in front of it is a center of local community’s economy.

Agung Rai Museum of Art
Founded by Agung Rai as a museum, gallery and cultural centre. The only place in Bali to see haunting works by influential German artist Walter Spies. Housed in several traditional buildings set in gardens with water coursing through channel.

Moon of Pejeng
The largest single-cast bronze kettle drum in the world. The drum is 186.6 centimetres (73.5 in) high and the diameter of the tympano is 160 centimetres (63 in). Kept at Pura Penataran Sasih Temple in Pejeng.

Bali Shell Museum
Opened in 2009 as the only establishment in the Indonesian archipelago that houses shell varieties of unimaginable shapes and sizes, including 100-year-old fossilised specimens and items converted into fine art.

Garuda Wisnu Kencana
A 240 hectares private cultural park on the Bukit Peninsula - a limestone plateau. It is devoted to the Hindu god Vishnu, and his mount, Garuda, the mythical bird who is his companion.

Tanjung Benoa is located at the tip of the Nusa Dua Peninsula, flanked by the ocean on both sides, with white sandy beaches lining its coast. On a clear day, visitors can even get a peak at Mount Agung on the horizon. Thanks to its beautiful beaches and calm water, Tanjung Benoa was recently appointed the marine sports center in Bali.

A Bit of History About Tanjung Benoa

Rich in history, Tanjung Benoa retains much of its old charm as a traditional fishing village. In fact, the village of Benoa used to be an important trading port for the Chinese and only started to develop in 1980. Worth the exploration, the village is composed of small intersecting alleys where local shops, temples and community houses collide in a surprisingly harmonious fashion. Do not expect wide well lit sidewalks however, a flashlight is in order in the evenings!

One of the more popular attractions of Tanjung Benoa is undoubtedly its beach with relatively small waves, making it ideal for families. A plethora of watersports activities such as parasailing, wind surfing, jet skiing, banana boat sailing, snorkeling, reef fishing, and much more are available all along the beach. A large variety of dive operators are based in Tanjung Benoa as well.

The beach is not the only attraction available in Tanjung Benoa. Traditional temples, Turtle Island, a Chinese Budhist temple, the Bali Golf and Country Club, the Art Market, the Fish Market and plenty more are also on hand to keep tourists occupied. And let’s not forget that Tanjung benoa is only 30 minutes away from Kuta should you crave a taste of the world-renowned nightlife scene of Bali!

Shopping in Tanjung Benoa will allow you to sharpen your bargaining skills. Head to the town for a stroll and there you will be greeted by shops and spas trying to offload their goods to you. Keep in mind that shop owners are always open to bargaining so you can feel like you got a good deal!

Many restaurants line the streets of Tanjung Benoa, from the traditional Warung to the French Fine Dining restaurant, not forgetting cooking classes and street carts. A few notable establishments include TAO Bali for Authentic South Eastern Dishes, Sakala Bali for French Contemporary Fine Dining, Bali Cardamon for traditional Balinese fare and The Tree for International Pub and Restaurant dishes. There are many more, but we will let you discover them by yourself!
