Peshastin is a small unincorporated community in Chelan County, Washington, United States. The community's roots are found in the Peshastin Ditch dug by pioneers beginning in 1889. This ditch was an important part of the overall irrigation system in the area, delivering water to the orchards on the slopes above Cashmere. The town was first platted in the early 1890s by two brothers, J. Q. Gilbert and A. C. Gilbert. It is also noted on an 1895 map of the area, indicating it was in existence by then.Today, Peshastin is still a small community with one elementary school and a library.

Lake Chelan is a narrow, 50.5 miles long lake in Chelan County, north-central Washington state, U.S. Before 1927, it was the largest natural lake in the state by any measure. Upon the completion of Lake Chelan Dam in 1927, the elevation of the lake was increased by 21 feet to its present maximum-capacity elevation of 1,100 feet . Two communities lie on the southern end of the lake, and a third sits at the far north end, providing a gateway to the North Cascades National Park.

North Cascades, Lavenworth HW #2 & Lake Chelan in Washington State

We were driving from Bothell to Lake Chelan which is a distance of 175 miles on a 2 day trip. Since the route is mountainous and curvy it took more time to maneuver the hills while enjoying the most beautiful place on earth. The entire route is picturesque and we stopped at many places on the way. We stopped at Deception Falls, Lake Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Peshastin, Wenatchee and River Columbia. We also stopped at Chelan County hydroelectric dam and inside the dam we saw Salmon traveling upstream. Lake Chelan is a natural lake formed by glacier water. The water in the lake is pristine and clear. I enjoyed in the water swimming for some time. On the way we stayed in Holiday Inn near Wenatchee. The way is full of fruit plantation like apples and varieties of pears. We stopped to buy pears. We drove all in our black pagoda.
