We visited the Piney Point Lighthouse, on the grounds of the Piney Point Lighthouse Museum and Historic Park. It is located in Piney Point, St. Mary's County, Maryland. Shot in August 2016.
Spectacular View//St Mary's River, St. George Island, Maryland
This was the view off our balcony overlooking the St. Mary's River on St. George Island/Piney Point, Maryland.The water was so close to us you could hear the waves lapping in the room. Seagulls and cranes could be spotted as well as local fishermen casting out a line. The area is very peaceful as you can see from my video. Both sunset and sunrise views were available at this particular Choice hotel with balconies on each side of the building. The westward side was a view of the Potomac River. Overall it was a beautiful place to stay and pretty convenient to the Naval Air Station in Patuxent River.
