    The Museum Barberini is an art museum at the Old Market Square, Potsdam. It was rebuilt on the site of the Barberini Palace, that was destroyed by bombing in 1945 and demolished afterwards. The construction of the Museum Barberini was started in August 2013 and was completed in December 2016. The official opening to the public was on 23 January 2017. The Guardian included the Barberini's opening among the top 10 new museum openings in 2017.Hasso Plattner, founder of software enterprise SAP and philanthropic patron, funded the Museum Barberini.     The Chinese House is a garden pavilion in Sanssouci Park in Potsdam, Germany. Frederick the Great had it built, about seven hundred metres southwest of the Sanssouci Summer Palace, to adorn his flower and vegetable garden. The garden architect was Johann Gottfried Büring, who between 1755 and 1764 designed the pavilion in the then-popular style of Chinoiserie, a mixture of ornamental rococo elements and parts of Chinese architecture.
