Great Picnic Spot - Damodar River at Palla Road, Burdwan, West Bengal, India
The banks of Damodor River at Palla Road, Burdwan, West Bengal is really a great picnic spot. Damodar River is a river with a beach and sand dunes. The place looks like a desert but feels like a sea.
Palla Road is a railway station over the Howrah-Bardhaman Chord Line section in the Eastern Railway Division of Indian Railway. It is nearly 15 kilometer from Burdwan and 75 kilometer from Howrah or Calcutta.

3.Marble lake
Marble Lake, which formed when the rocks here were quarried for stone to build irrigation dams namely Upper and Lower dam.
4.Bamni falls/Bamani falls

Thus, for local birdwatchers, Saheb Bandh is a popular retreat and tourist attraction in Purulia City with water sports fecility and shikara ride.
10.Charida Village-
Charida is the village of 300 skilled mask makers of the celebrated dance form of the region, Chau dance. This quaint village in the land of red soil is located at the scenic foothills of Ayodhya Hills, about 5 kms from Baghmundi.

Garhpanchkot is one of the less known amazing tourist spots of West Bengal. It has both historical and scenic view. It is located in the foothills of Panchet hill, fully covered with dense forest, in the district of Purulia. Forest Guesthouses and Eco-Tourism resorts are available for staying and enjoying.
The Panchet Dam, another tourist attraction in Purulia is also very close to Garpanchkot(10 mins by Road). Both of these two places can be covered in one day..

#Ajodhya Hills, is a hill located in the #Purulia district of the state West Bengal, #India. It is a part of the Dalma Hills and extended part of Eastern Ghats range. The entire area is a hilly one with tribal and the nearest town area is #Bagmundi. It is a popular area for basic courses in rock climbing. #Bamni Falls, #Murguma Lake, Upper dam and Lower Dam, Sal forest, Pakhi Pahar, Marble Lake, Charida Mask Village and lot more local traditional Temples and Sunrise Point.
The best time to visit this place is in the thickness of winter. Recently the state government launched a number of ambitious projects in order to develop this emerging hill station. Mythology says that while Lord Rama along with his wife Sita was in exile, both of them spend some time here as well.

Baghmundi is a village, with a police station, in Baghmundi CD Block in Purulia Sadar West subdivision of Purulia district in the state of West Bengal, India.
Geography
Baghmundi lies in the vicinity of the Ajodhya Hill and Forest Reserve Area.[1]
The Bagmundi–Bandwan Upland is an area descending from the Ranchi Plateau. At some places the high lands are very steep and rise to heights ranging from 475 to 700 m. The Ajodhya Hills are spread across the Baghmundi and Balarampur areas.[2]

Demographics
As per 2011 Census of India Baghmundi had a total population of 4,035 of which 2,095 (52%) were males and 1,940 (48%) were females. Population below 6 years was 561. The total number of literates in Baghmundi was 2,340 (67.36% of the population over 6 years).[3]
Police station
Baghmundi police station has jurisdiction over Baghmundi CD Block. The area covered is 275 km2 and the population covered is 135,530. It has 41.91 km inter-state border with Tiruldih and Nimdih police stations in Seraikella-Kharswan district and Sonahitu PS in Ranchi district of Jharkhand.[4][5]
Transport
SH 4 running from Jhalda (in Purulia district) to Junput (in Purba Medinipur district) passes through Baghmundi.[6]
