Los canales, son el rasgo característico de Ámsterdam. Con más de 75 kilómetros, son un atractivo, con sus puentes, casas características, cafés, para pasear por ellos, bien en barco o andando por sus calles, viendo la animación y la vida dentro y fuera de ellos. Son característicos los barcos vivienda, que se encuentran anclados en sus orillas y constituyen un atractivo más y un lujo para sus ocupantes.

La basílica de Oude kerk es una gran basílica gótica, conserva muchos de sus tesoros, a pesar de haber sido desprovista de sus pinturas y estatuas durante la época iconoclasta. Conserva exquisitas vidrieras policromadas, pinturas en el techo y un gran órgano. Hoy día se encuentra en pleno corazón del barrio rojo, pero no hay ningún problema con el vecindario. Saint Michel Cathedral - Brussels (Belgium)
The Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula is a Roman Catholic church in Brussels , Belgium. The church was given a status in 1962 and has since been the co-cathedral of the Archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels, together with St. Rumbold's Cathedral in Mechelen.
The chapel dedicated to St. Michael was probably built on the Treurenberg hill as early as the 9th century. In the 11th century it was replaced by a Romanesque church. In 1047, Lambert II, Count of Leuven founded a chapter in this church and organized the transportation of the relics of the martyr St. Gudula, housed before then in Saint Gaugericus Church on Saint-Géry Island. The patron saints of the church, St. Michael and St. Gudula, are also the patron saints of the city of Brussels.
