1)How to clear Bhutan immigration and how to get punakha day visit permit?
Ans) Indian should provide voter id card or passport with 6 months validity, 2 blank pages, 2 passport size photo also you have to provide hotel bookings confirmation and travel itinerary of your Bhutan trip. Basically indian will get permit for Thimphu and paro but if you want to visit punakha you will get punakha day visit permit when you fill up the Bhutan immigration form for permit you have to apply for punakha day visit after clear immigration reached Thimphu then submit your documents at Thimphu immigration counter and you will get easily punakha day visit permit. Bhutan permit fees is free for Indian.
2)How to reach Do Chula pass /Punakha Dzong /Punakha suspension bridge from Thimphu?
Ans) There is no direct bus service for punakha day visit plan. You have to booked a car from Thimphu to Punakha day visit plan. First we go for Do Chula Pass. From Thimphu city to Do Chula pass distance 30 km and it will take near 30 minutes. After complete the Do Chula pass sightseeing then go for Punakha Dzong. Do Chula Pass to punakha dzong distance 57 km and it will take near 2.30 hours. Punakha dzong ticket fare Rs. 300 per person for indian. Punakha Dzong to Punakha suspension bridge is very near it will take just 10 minutes by car. Complete this Punakha day visit plan then return to Thimphu hotel.
