Saranac Lake is a village in the state of New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 5,406. The village is named after Upper, Middle and Lower Saranac lakes, which are nearby. The village of Saranac Lake covers parts of three towns and two counties . The county line is within two blocks of the center of the village. At the 2010 census, 3,897 village residents lived in Harrietstown, 1,367 lived in North Elba, and 142 lived in St. Armand. Robert Louis Stevenson was a British novelist, poet, essayist, musician and travel writer. His most famous works are Treasure Island, Kidnapped, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, and A Child's Garden of Verses. He was a literary celebrity during his lifetime, and now ranks as the 26th most translated author in the world. His works have been admired by many other writers, including Jorge Luis Borges, Bertolt Brecht, Marcel Proust, Arthur Conan Doyle, Henry James, Cesare Pavese, Emilio Salgari, Ernest Hemingway, Rudyard Kipling, Jack London, Vladimir Nabokov, J. Lake George, nicknamed the Queen of American Lakes, is a long, narrow oligotrophic lake located at the southeast base of the Adirondack Mountains, in the northeastern portion of the state of New York.

This video begins as I take a scenic drive on the Prospect Mountain Veteran's Memorial High Parkway which provides several scenic overlooks of the lake and the town of Lake George. Next I take a drive through the town of Lake George making stops at the Old Courthouse and the only remaining Howard Johnson's Restaurant in the world.

Lake Placid New York Vlog

One of my favorite vacation destinations. Lake Placid home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics is a tourist area full of activities. From fishing, hiking, and boating to fine dining. This town has it all. I also recommend Wilmington and Plattsburg, NY. I went fishing by Union Falls. I was able to catch a few trout and a rainbow trout. I had to throw back the rainbow and a few small trout because of their size.
